With over 11 million passengers every day, Transport for London runs one of the busiest and most complex transportation systems in the world

We were asked to design a  utility box for bus drivers which would allow access to clean water and electricity, whilst providing storage for tools.  We designed a highly durable product, which could withstand the rigours of daily life on

London's streets, providing a trustworthy and reliable facility for bus drivers.

The result is a timeless design aesthetic that merges seamlessly into the London cityscape.   Self finishing materials such as concrete, stainless steel, and timber were used, along with polyester powder-coated steel to help to increase the product’s lifespan.

Transport for London has the oldest section of underground railway in the world and boasts a rich design heritage. Critical to the new design is a product that honors and builds upon TFL’s brand language

“TfL’s design language combines an expression of precise engineering skills with softened organic forms. A well designed, confident and consistent visual identity is highly effective in communicating the strengths of our organisation.“
