The evolution of safety eyewear for the North American market.
The project kicked off with exploratory creative workshops involving key Uvex stakeholders outlining and ensuring a shared vision for the future and gave way to in-depth research with primary users, secondary stakeholders, safety managers and purchasers to help understand needs, preferences, to help drive new insight and opportunities.
A strategic design vision was built based across multiple use case scenarios. Concept and feature development, verified by quantitative and qualitative directional testing ensuring new concepts would capitalize on the new market opportunities.
Designs were explored through sketching, model making and CAD built upon specific 3D scan head data. New designs went on to define a complete product range, which included multiple innovations in comfort, fit, aesthetics and safety.
