Nabaiji is the world's second-largest swimming brand.
Designing swimming earbuds are far more complex than your average audio earbud and this little guy created a myriad of obstacles. Challenges ranged from dealing with water ingress, varying ethnicity and gender anthropometric ear requirements, hydrodynamics forces and cost requirements.
Aimed at beginner to intermediate swimmers who want to relax during their practice, the design had to align with Nabaiji design language and offer an approachable and simple design that connected with the target audience. We worked with the Nabaiji electronics to define not only a new earbud but a new earbud retention system, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit during intensive swimming movements. This was Nabaiji's final attempt to fix a history of issues with previous swimming audio products and this earbud hit the nail on the head.

Decathlon is the world's largest sports retailer, with over 1,500 stores in 49 countries. Designed in collaboration with Nabaiji.
