Swim Lap Swimming Watch.
Developed for Nabaiji, Decathlon's swimming brand, Swim Lap is an affordable swimming watch designed for beginner and intermediate swimmers. Building on the brand's Electronics Design Strategy, the project aimed to create an accessible product capable of counting laps and measuring swimming distance, while offering the essential functionality of more advanced sports watches at a significantly lower price point.
The design combines a slim, waterproof construction with a hydrodynamic aesthetic, reflecting Nabaiji's visual identity and the needs of everyday swimmers. Particular attention was given to ergonomics, materials and usability, with a printed interface inspired by traditional swimming pool clocks and an intuitive digital display. Developed by Max Erba Gubbins as part of the in-house Nabaiji design team, the result is a functional, timeless product balancing performance, simplicity and affordability.
